2026 Region 3-6A Championship:
The Lady Mustangs delivered an impressive come-from-behind performance, finishing as runners-up and securing a place at the 6A State Championships, which will be held on May 4-5, 2026, at TPC San Antonio. The team started strong in the first round with a score of 317 and followed it up on day two with the lowest round of the day, shooting 306.

2025-2026 District 17-6A Tournament
Monday, March 23, 2026, and Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Jersey Meadow Golf Club
The Houston Memorial girls' golf team delivered an outstanding performance at the two-day District Tournament, with depth and consistency across the entire lineup.
The first team was led by senior Sydney Marrs, who finished 3rd place overall with five birdies, posting a +9 total. Junior Lynette Li and freshman Amanda Lee tied for 4th place, with Lynette recording four birdies and Amanda adding three. Junior Emily Rouse earned a 6th-place finish, highlighted by seven birdies and an eagle, while junior Chloe Wang rounded out the top group with two birdies and an 8th-place finish. As a team, Memorial’s first squad dominated the field, capturing 1st place by an incredible 84-stroke margin. Their decisive victory secures their advancement to the Regional Tournament, beginning Monday, April 13.
Memorial’s second team also turned in a strong showing, narrowly missing a Regional berth by just 4 strokes. Senior Maria Hernández led the group, tying for 8th overall with six birdies and earning an individual medalist spot at Regionals. Seniors Elika Lee and Zoe Lai finished 14th and 15th, respectively. Junior Isabella Ford showed remarkable improvement, cutting 11 strokes off her first-round score with a strong second day, and sophomore Valentina Patino contributed steady, consistent play to round out the lineup.
Additional Memorial medalists included sophomores Blaire Ludeke and Mossie Stuckey and freshman Paige Lawson. All posted solid individual performances, with Blaire finishing 12th overall.
With multiple top finishes and strong performances throughout the roster, Houston Memorial Girls Golf shows consistent scoring across both teams and individual competitors and sets a confident tone as they head into postseason competition.

2025 District 17-6A Championship
The varsity girls golf team placed 1st and 2nd at their district championship tournament Monday March 24th and Tuesday March 25th hosted at Jersey Meadow Golf Course! As evident in all 13 scores below, the team’s dominance in district 17-6A is quite substantial. All 13 athletes representing Memorial placed within the top 20 individually.
Congratulations to Senior Arwen Settipalli who finished 2 under par overall to place 2nd. Arwen was an incredible 5 under par for her second round to shoot 67, doing so with 6 birdies and an eagle, wow! Not to mention her 5 birdies in round one.
Right behind Arwen was Junior Sydney Marrs who finished round one 1 over par, with three birdies. On day two, two more birdies to shoot just 3 over par overall!
Seniors Grace Wu and Claire Cagle, as well as Sophomore Lynette Li alongside Arwen and Sydney led the first team to an astounding 1st place team finish with a two day score of 601, beating the 2nd place team by 91 strokes! Amazing job!
The Second Team was not to be outdone, defeating the 3rd place team by 72 strokes! Led by Senior Adison Mathes, with a respectable 85-85 to shoot 167 and place 8th overall. The young team of Juniors Elika Lee and Zoe Lai, and Sophomores Chloe Wang, and Emily Rouse all fought hard together for a strong 2nd place finish.
Rounding out the top 20 individually were our three medalists, Seniors Peyton Muecke, Allie Sherman, and Gabby Figliola!
We are incredibly proud of this team, which has a strong foundation of 8 Seniors who have represented Memorial for the past four years. Great job everyone and thank you for being so amazing.
Both teams will advance to the regional championship on Monday April 14th and Tuesday April 15th hosted at Eagle Pointe Golf Course in Mont Belvieu. Good luck to both our teams!
